The Head of Sales Asia & ANZ is responsible for developing, executing, and sustaining the Sales strategy across the Asia and Australia/New Zealand regions. The role ensures profitable growth in the Power Generation (PG), Marine, On-Road, and Off-Road segments through the effective development and management of Dealers, OEMs, key customers
Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Decision-Making Authority: Outline the primary responsibilities of the position and the authority level of the position (i.e., budget approval)
- Define, implement, and continuously refine the sales strategy for Asia & ANZ, in alignment with the country sales heads and marketing
Execute yearly sales budget, ensuring timely order coverage and accuracy
- Drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability across all product lines.
- Identify new business opportunities, emerging applications, and underserved markets.
- Prepare annual sales plans, budgets, forecasts, and pricing strategies for the different countries .
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline, and conversion rates; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure alignment with HQ product and pricing policies and manage contribution margin targets.
- Oversee tender evaluations, strategic bids, and large OEM negotiations.
- Scout, evaluate, and onboard new Dealers and OEM partners, in alignment with company policy
- Strengthen existing partnerships through performance monitoring, capability building, and joint planning.
- Monitor delivery performance and resolve operational issues affecting customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements and qualifications: Describe the basic requirements of the position
Include: previous functional experience (# of years), technical skills/knowledge, management experience (# of years), key business experiences (i.e., turnarounds, P&L responsibility, international, start-ups), certifications, education, licensing
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Master’s degree or MBA is an asset.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Asia & ANZ markets in Power Generation, Marine, On-Road, Off-Road, Powertrain, or Engine Manufacturing.
- Direct experience in selling engines (hardware, not services) with complex technical and commercial cycles.
- Proven track record in managing Dealers and OEMs, leading commercial negotiations, and winning large accounts.
- Experience within key OEM environments (e.g., Foton, Golden Dragon, Rolls Royce, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with long lead-time products and industrial manufacturing dynamics.
- Established network with senior management in relevant OEMs.
